New Member From Cheshire - Pics !

Just wanted to take the time to introduce myself and congratulate you on a fantastic website.
My name is Lee and i live in Cheshire and after several years of deliberating, I finally took the plunge and got my first marine tank which has been going strong for about a year now.
The main thing that put me off the hobby for so long were what i like to call "The Marine Police" ... These were the so called experts that made it sound like keeping anything more than a guppy, rocket science.
The current tank is only small and was simply a means of trying out the hobby. Fortunately i didn't kill everything within a week like my Mrs said i was going to do, so I'm now in the process of setting up a larger "main tank" and i intend on using this smaller one as a frag tank.
I am however, still relatively new to the coral side of things so please be gentle with me and i look forward to trading/buying some corals with you all.

This is my smaller tank... can anyone put a name to the gorgeous red stuff growing from live rock and tell me if it can be fragged? and also whats the green stick like tube next to the Torch coral, is it some kind of sponge?

Hi chopchop, i was hoping someone more experienced from the forums might have been able to identify it for me, but the forums seem very quiet.
Whatever it is, the fish seem to love playing in it and its at least another half an inch taller since the last pic was taken.
I'm planning a water change over the weekend so i'll take a few clippings and see if they survive in the tank over the next few days and get back to you.
If it survives you can have some with pleasure.

Thanks buddy. The tanks doing really well, just need more corals. (don't we all)
Its some sort of Red Algae but I've not managed to find an exact name for it yet.. it piggybacked its way into the tank on some live rock and the fish love playing hide n' seek in it.
I've successfully fragged it and did some swaps with chopchop. So if anyone wants a splash of blood red in their tank, let me know what you have for trade.

Hi, love the set up, I looking for algae, really like the red stuff, is it maybe a red sea lettuce, would swop a Zoa (Dragon eye) or I have other algae that might interest you.

    Cheers
