    Duncan coral.

I'm planning on splitting up a Duncan/Whisker coral on the weekend because i've had it a long time and it's spread too big.
Anyone interested in LPS swops or buying a frag.If all goes well should be a good frag on offer with about 12 heads.Never broke up an LPS before so maybe offering smaller frags of 3-4 heads.
    Any LPS splitting advice welcome.

I have some candy canes, i think fragging ducans is the same as candy canes, just chop them off below the head.
i will try to post a pic of how to do this shortly

I'll get a pic on soon after i've split abit off big mamma coral. The pic will then be of what's on offer. All of what's featured will be what has grown in my tank for those who are concerned about taking corals off reefs.
Fingers crossed, i'm hoping for a break which will give a frag of about 14 heads, not including baby budding heads, and will make a nice piece in anyones tank.

Chop them at the stalk (brown bit) if you chop into flesh then there is a good chance they can get infected/die!! I had this problem with mine so i waited awile and then let them grow on, i ended up with some wicked frags aswell!! The duncan coral was one of the main reasons i wanted a tank with corals!!

Steve, If you have any left I'd love one, and will happily buy or swap for part of my soon to be fragged torch (or purple mushrooms should you wish)...

As for LPS splitting advice, id advise you use a dremel or something similar, wear protective eye wear, and thoroughly clean the area you used for the fragging operation - especially if the area was the dining room table!!!

    Cheers
