    1st Frag

Ok, I've done it. Got the scissors out and fragged my Toadstool! Pics to follow, I just hope all went OK. Can anybody tell me how long the 'mother' normally takes to recover.
    Cheers.

so far so good, the mother hasn't recovered yet but I did cut the whole crown off. I've used superglue gel for the frags ( 4 pieces) and the polyps are just beginning to open.
Free or swap in a while, don't know how to post though. I will put them on the swap section a bit later on.

Congratulations. A toadstool was the first thing I fragged and now I just keep trying new things.

Same as yours this morning Mike, 3 of them have come unstuck! Still nothing from the mother though.

Hard to describe but if you wrap an elastic band lots of times round a piece of small rock then slide a cocktail stick under the band you can pop corals under the cocktail stick and it will hold the coral in place.
If not have you tried super glue gel. This is what I always use for toadstools and never have escapees. I buy mine from EBay and its really good.

Use an ealstic band to tie the frag to the rock or use a cocktail stick to secure the frag with the rubber band

Cheers guys, yes I do use super glue gel. I think I was a bit to hasty in putting them back in the tank.
Just done it again, but left them to stand in a bowl for a bit longer first.
    Fingers crossed this time.
