    Which superglue is best?

Hi peeps just wondering which superglue is best for sticking frags?

I thought that superglue reacted with water and became non sticky.

    Thanks.

I buy mine from EBay. Personally I find the super glue gel is much better as it gives you a bit more time to mount the frag. I find standard superglue just soaks in the rock.

Use the gel to mount frags while the liquid can be used to create your own reef plugs. You just need some reef sand a small mould - like a coral cradle or thimble - fill the mould with sand then pour the liquid superglue over it - it will set into a nice little reef plug.

I will be posting pictures of the ones I have made on here soon

Gel is best, but you can use the liquid glues if you apply some to the piece of rubble you're sticking to, allow it to soak in and harden and then apply a second lot on top. Once the foundation application of glue has soaked in and hardened the second lot will remain usable for longer. Nowhere near as good as gel, but if it's all you have available it's ok-ish.

Ok, Get ready for a barrage of questions lol.

Yes cranners Iv seen that done, I tried it with a thimble but the results wern't great. Im blaming it on the poor quality glue I used.

I used a salifert scoop upturned I filled the thimble with sand and then proceeded to pour the superglue onto the sand/substrate - you end up with a disc and you need to be careful but you can get it out in one piece it doesnt seem to stick to the plastic
